How To Disable Or Turn Off Lightbox for Images in Blogger

For the images placed in a blog which is hosted in blogger.com, when clicked, is opened into a transparent new view area. The other contents of the blog post remains in the background. This is known as Lightbox or sometimes also called as Greybox or Thickbox This feature can also be seen in Facebook, Google+ etc. This is indeed an unique way to display pictures in enlarged mode than the normal mode, and some people find it pretty cool, but some people does not like this feature. Though Blogger by default enables Lightbox on your blogger blog, you can disable this feature if you want so. Just follow this steps to disable Lightbox viewing of photos on your blogger blog.

Log in to your blogger account and go to your blog’s Dashboard.
Now move onto Settings > Post and Comments
Look for ‘Open Images in Lightbox’ and select ‘No’ from the drop down.
Save your settings and you are done with disabling Lightbox on your blog.
You can test opening a post that contains images and click on it. You will now see that it is not opening in Lightbox.Disable Lightbox
